Role Description The Medical Assistant role at HankMED LLC is a full-time, on-site position based in Huntsville, AL. This role involves supporting clinicians by preparing exam rooms, taking vital signs, documenting medical histories, and assisting with routine procedures. The Medical Assistant will help manage patient flow, schedule appointments, and maintain accurate medical records in alignment with practice standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include coordinating with the medical office team, updating patient charts, handling basic clinical tasks, and providing courteous, compassionate service to all patients. The role also requires adherence to safety and privacy protocols and effective communication with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals. Qualifications Demonstrated proficiency in Medical Assisting, including routine clinical procedures and vital sign collection. Strong understanding of Medical Terminology to accurately document and communicate patient information. Experience working in a Medical Office setting, including appointment scheduling and front/back office coordination. Ability to deliver high-quality Patient Care with empathy, professionalism, and attention to detail. Skill in managing Medical Records, including accurate charting, electronic health record (EHR) use, and maintaining confidentiality. Relevant certification or diploma as a Medical Assistant; CMA, RMA, or equivalent credential preferred. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification, or willingness to obtain within a specified timeframe. Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a clinical team.
