Registered Nurse - Intensive Care Unit (ICU)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in ICU settings such as SICU, CTICU, Trauma ICU, or Neuro ICU, with preferred 4-5 years of ICU experience. This position requires strong clinical skills and the ability to work with critically ill patients.

Schedule

This position offers a night shift from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM, with flexible block scheduling based on departmental needs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality patient care in the ICU setting.
• Monitor patient health and converse with patients and families regarding care plans.
• Utilize advanced medical equipment including CRRT and Prismaflex.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient treatment plans.
• Float as necessary to all units except Behavioral and ER, handling critical care patients.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license with active status in New York and any other state licenses.
• Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience required; 4-5 years preferred.
• Current certifications in AHA ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS.
• Experience with CRRT and Prismaflex is essential.
• Skills checklist matching specialty must be provided.
