Automotive Mechanics

Overview NTB / Mavis Tires & Brakes at Discount Prices is hiring full-time Automotive Mechanics at one of our service centers in the Cedar Park, TX area. Mavis is a large tire sales and automotive repair chain with over 2,000 retail locations. Responsibilities Inspect, diagnose, and perform a wide variety of automotive services on customers' vehicles. Perform undercar repairs including brakes, struts, and shocks. Complete state-mandated inspections, change oil and filters, check fluids, replace worn parts, and dismount/mount/rotate/balance tires. Qualifications Required: At least 18 years of age; Legally authorized to work in the United States; 2 years of experience and/or training in automotive repair and maintenance or equivalent combination of education, training and experience; Extensive personal toolbox of tools used in undercar repairs. Preferred: State inspection license(s); ASE Certifications in Automotive Maintenance and Light Repair (G1), Suspension and Steering (A4), and Brakes (A5). As an active position, Automotive Mechanics are required to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, climb, pull, reach and perform repetitive movements consistent with vehicle maintenance and repair.
