Medical Assistant

Job Duties:

Rooming patients; Obtaining vitals and patient histories; Assisting physician and providers with procedures and exams; May require floating within the department as necessary; Monitoring, cleaning, and stocking patient exam rooms; Ordering supplies; Electronic charting; Telephone interactions; Pre-certifications/pre-authorizations; Scheduling; As expected with all healthcare positions, must adhere to HIPAA/OSHA regulations and maintain annual required workplace trainings. Other duties as necessary/assigned.

CERTIFIED NURSES ASSISTANTS MAY BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION BUT MUST BE WILLING TO OBTAIN CERTIFICATION IN CLINICAL MEDICAL ASSISTING WITHIN THE FIRST YEAR OF EMPLOYMENT IF HIRED

Experience

Required: Previous Medical Office Experience. Preferred: CERTIFIED NURSES ASSISTANTS MAY BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION BUT MUST BE WILLING TO OBTAIN CERTIFICATION IN CLINICAL MEDICAL ASSISTING WITHIN THE FIRST YEAR OF EMPLOYMENT IF HIRED Multi-tasking skills within fast-paced environment; Must hold current/active Registered or Certified Clinical Medical Assistant credential (qualifications to perform order entries); Patient Registration experience very helpful. Previous medical office experience highly desirable, preferably within the specialty of Urology
