About This Opportunity Ryder Rental Management Trainee program is an 18–24 month accelerated career development experience designed to build the next generation of Ryder leaders. The program is fast‑paced and touches every aspect of the business unit, providing hands‑on training across Finance, Operations, Human Resources, and Sales & Marketing. What You’ll Experience During the 18–24 months, you will build expertise in the following core areas: Finance – Understanding P&L drivers for a high‑performing rental operation Operations – Managing rental assets, vehicle PM standards, and day‑to‑day location performance Sales & Marketing – Driving revenue through inbound calls, outbound solicitation, and lead generation for rental, lease, and used vehicle sales Human Resources – Building, developing, and leading a team Customer Relationship Management – Resolving customer concerns and growing a loyal customer base Compliance & Regulatory – Ensuring alignment with company, local, state, and federal requirements Essential Functions Handle the sales process for inbound calls and outbound solicitation. Maintain current and accurate data within the company’s marketing database. Generate rental, lease, and used vehicle sales leads. Manage all rental asset processes, including vehicle PM and cleanliness standards. Maintain overall Ryder market share by successfully executing sales and marketing initiatives. Maintain compliance with company, local, state, federal, and other regulatory agencies. Reconcile customer concerns, issues, and disputes to sustain ongoing relationships and grow the customer base. Additional Responsibilities Volunteer as an On‑Call Representative based on scheduling and supervisory direction. Perform any other duties as assigned. Skills and Abilities Strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills. Flexibility to work in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment. High energy, self‑motivated, self‑directed person who can focus on multiple projects simultaneously. Ability to create and maintain professional relationships at all levels of the organization. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Detail oriented with strong follow‑up practices. Common sense and a quick learning aptitude. Relocation to the region/US at the conclusion of the training program (if required). Computer literate – intermediate proficiency required. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field. One (1) year or more of customer service with issue resolution experience preferred. Intermediate computer literacy required. Travel: none. No DOT regulation. Compensation Information Pay Type: Salaried Minimum Pay Range: $50,000 Maximum Pay Range: $53,000 Benefits Information Comprehensive health and welfare benefits, including medical, prescription, dental, vision, life insurance, and disability insurance options.
