Job Summary:
An Operating Room (OR) Nurse specializing in Open Heart procedures is sought in Jackson, Michigan. This role involves leading the coordination and delivery of high-quality, compassionate patient care within a dynamic surgical environment. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day and should possess skills in effectively communicating with the healthcare team, patients, and families. The position involves working rotating shifts with on-call responsibilities, including weekends, and requires Open Heart and Endovascular experience. Candidates must be able to scrub in surgical procedures.

Job Details:

• Schedule: The shift consists of 4 days per week, each lasting 10 hours from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM. The schedule rotates across weekdays Monday through Friday. On-call duties begin at 5:00 PM on scheduled days, including weekends.
• Required Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing; current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Open Heart and Endovascular experience; ability to scrub in surgical procedures; candidate must have excellent computer skills.
• Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Nursing (BSN).
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: Candidates must have clinical knowledge and analytical abilities to develop effective nursing care plans, perform a wide variety of professional nursing services, and communicate efficiently with patients, families, and hospital personnel. The OT (Oxygen Therapy) is billable after working a minimum of 48 hours.
