Data Governance Lead

Building and operating the governance capability of the Data Platform Team, the full-time remote Data Governance Lead will define and implement governance standards, manage data quality rules, and configure access policies while collaborating closely with engineering teams. Key responsibilities Build and operate the enterprise data catalog, ensuring metadata standards and documentation are enforced for all published products Define and execute the enterprise data governance strategy, including stewardship roles, decision rights, and policy lifecycle Work directly with platform engineers to implement governance controls during pipeline and product delivery Required qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience 8+ years of experience in data governance, data platform engineering, or related roles with a focus on hands-on delivery At least 3 years in a leadership role responsible for governance programs or cross-functional data frameworks Experience configuring Snowflake governance controls and implementing data catalogs and lineage tools Demonstrated ability to translate governance requirements into practical engineering patterns and business expectations
