Responsibilities
- Perform solution heat treating and aging processes on aluminum components
- Operate and monitor heat treat furnaces, quench tanks, and related equipment
- Load and unload parts using proper fixturing methods
- Monitor and document time, temperature, and quench parameters
- Read and interpret work instructions, blueprints, and process specifications
- Conduct in-process inspections and verify finished part quality
- Maintain production logs and certification records
- Work closely with Quality and Engineering to resolve production issues
- Follow all safety procedures while handling high-temperature materials and equipment
- Experience with heat treating or thermal processing is preferred
- Familiarity with solution heat treatment and age-hardening processes is a plus
- Experience in an aerospace or quality-controlled manufacturing environment is beneficial
- Ability to read blueprints and follow detailed work instructions
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Lift up to 50 pounds
- Stand for extended periods
- Comfortable working in high-temperature environments
- Wear required PPE, including heat-resistant gloves, face shields, and safety glasses
