Registered Nurse - Med Surg/Telemetry

Job Description

This position assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, and documents nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies and professional nursing practice standards. The Registered Nurse is accountable for the quality of nursing services delivered by themselves or others under their direction, utilizing specialized knowledge, judgment, and nursing skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the physical and developmental age of assigned patients.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient conditions and develop nursing care plans.
• Implement and evaluate nursing interventions while documenting care provided.
• Ensure quality nursing services are delivered in accordance with best practices.
• Supervise and direct care provided by support staff as applicable.
• Provide care to stroke patients and other telemetry patients as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2+ years recent Med Surg/Telemetry experience.
• 2+ years experience working with stroke patients.
• NIHSS Certification must be obtained within 48 hours of offer.
• mRs/SIREN Certification must be obtained within 48 hours of offer.
• Active RN license in the state of Maryland.
• American Heart Association BLS certification required.
• COVID vaccination required; declinations not accepted.

Schedule

This position requires a shift from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, guaranteeing 36 hours per week. Weekend scheduling will be determined by the facility.
