Growing together.The Patient Service Representative is responsible to the Center Administrator and provides appointment scheduling, patient registration, cashiering, answers incoming calls and performs other related clerical functions. This primary role provides front office support functions.Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8-hour shift between the hours of 7:15am-5pm (typically 8am-5pm) EST. Schedule to be determined by manager upon hire.Location: 7151 Marsh Rd., Indianapolis, IN 46278. Some travel may be required to Carmel, IN for training, as needed.Primary Responsibilities:Provide exceptional service to all customersGreets patients as they arrive and manages wait timeComplete check-in and check-out tasks to include insurance verification and copy required documentsCollects co-payments, co-insurance, and deductibles and issues receiptsManages cashier box and daily deposits according to company policiesProcesses walk-in patients and visitorsAnswers phones and schedules appointments as necessary, verifying correct visit type and primary care providerAnswer telephone calls, re-direct calls as appropriate, assist callers with questions or concerns, and take messages as neededManages medical records (maintains, files/scans, prepares for schedule)Ensures all correspondence is scanned and/or filed, processes requests for medical records release and maintains appropriate logs, etc.Responsible for waiting room management cleanliness, communicate pertinent information to patients and ensure all patients have been assistedWork with back-office staff to ensure smooth patient flowResolve service issues and complaints, and defer to appropriate management or clinical personnel when necessaryAssist co-workers and team members with duties when requested, to include but not limited to, floating to other areasEstablish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, employees, and the publicPerforms all other related duties as assignedWhat are the reasons to consider working for UnitedHealth Group? The hourly pay for this role will range from $16.00 to $29.00 per hour based on full-time employment.
