The Role

The Honest Company is looking for a Senior Paid Media Strategist, Retail Media to join our Paid Media Team. This role will help lead retail media strategy and campaign management across Amazon, Walmart, Target and Instacart, working closely with our Senior Paid Media Manager, media agency and internal cross-functional teams to drive growth, new customer acquisition and strong retail performance. This person will play a key role in developing media plans, evaluating campaign performance, identifying optimization opportunities and ensuring retail media strategy is aligned with retailer priorities, promotions, product launches and broader brand initiatives.

Who we are looking for:

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience managing paid media campaigns and has deep expertise in retail media networks. You are highly analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing budgets across multiple platforms. You understand performance metrics such as NTB, ROAS, TACOS and CVR, and can proactively identify optimization opportunities. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy testing, learning, and iterating to drive measurable growth.

What you’ll do:

• Help shape retail media strategy and campaign planning across Amazon, Walmart, Target and Instacart, with a strong focus on Amazon and Walmart.
• Partner closely with our external media agency to develop, manage and optimize campaigns across sponsored search, DSP, onsite and offsite programmatic display and other retail media tactics.
• Support retail media investment planning, pacing and performance tracking in partnership with the Senior Manager of Paid Media and media agency.
• Own performance measurement and optimization against internal KPIs including ROAS, NTB%, TACOS, CVR and other business-driving metrics. Pull and analyze performance data, develop insights, identify optimization opportunities and clearly communicate campaign results and recommendations on a monthly and as-needed basis.
• Build and execute test-and-learn plans (creative, bidding, audience, channel mix)
• Partner with Brand, Creative, Sales, Category and MarComm teams to align retail media plans with retailer priorities, promotions, product launches, JBP initiatives and digital shelf considerations.
• Drive incremental growth across key retail partners by identifying performance opportunities and continuously improving campaign strategy
• Partner with Analytics to evaluate incrementality and the broader business impact of retail media investments.
• Stay informed on platform updates, industry trends, and competitive activity to continuously evolve retail media strategy

What you’ll need:

• Bachelor’s degree
• 4+ years of experience managing retail media or performance marketing for a CPG company or at an agency
• Proven track record of driving sales velocity, household penetration, and retail growth outcomes
• Deep expertise across retail media platforms, particularly Amazon Ads and also including but not limited to Walmart Connect and Target Roundel
• Strong understanding of performance metrics tied to business goals
• Experience with Mixed Media Model platforms, incrementality testing, and clean room environments
• Experience partnering with other teams to create strong assets and content that drive clicks and sales on retail channels
• Experience partnering with external media agency and cross functional teams
• Deep knowledge of industry trends, platform trends and competitive positioning in the CPG industry

Compensation

The pay range for this role is $89,000 - $120,000/yr. Actual compensation is based on many factors including but not limited to depth of experience, skill level, ability, knowledge, education, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.

The total rewards package for this position may also include base, annual incentive plan, benefits, retirement plan, equity, and Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
