Job Title: Travel RN Profession: RN Specialty: PCU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00 - 19:00 Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum 2 years in a hospital setting License: Active compact license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Strong dysrhythmia recognition skills Critical drip experience 2 years PCU experience Description: Travel RN needed in PCU for a 13-week assignment. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a hospital setting. An active compact license is required. BLS and ACLS certifications are mandatory. The unit has 20 beds and typically staffs 5 RNs and 2 LNAs, adjusting for patient volume. Patient ratios are 4:1. Common equipment includes GE cardiac monitoring and Hospira IV pumps. Familiarity with EMR Expanse is preferred. Candidates should have strong dysrhythmia recognition skills and experience managing critical drips. Preferred candidates will have pre/post cardiac cath and pacer patient care experience. Ideal candidates are self-directed, confident, and maintain a positive attitude in challenging circumstances. Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset are essential. Floating to Med Surg, ICU, or Emergency Department may be required based on staffing needs. Every other weekend or equivalent staffing needs may be required. Professional scrub attire is expected. Unit policies and guidelines will be discussed during the interview process.
