Key duties include: Inspecting railcars for damage, wear, and serviceability Performing repairs and documenting inspections and completed work Identifying repair needs beyond company capabilities Lubricating components and applying required stenciling Assisting with railcar cleaning and preparation Operating company vehicles and equipment, including pickups, ATVs, tractors, and service vehicles Maintaining a clean work area and following all safety procedures Qualifications Railcar repair or rail industry experience preferred Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills Welding experience required (4G, 5G, and Stick Welding) Ability to safely use hand and power tools Ability to work outdoors and perform physically demanding tasks Valid driver's license required About Road & Rail Services Founded in 1987, Road & Rail Services is a leading North American provider of rail‑related services, including terminal operations, railcar inspection and repair, and field maintenance.
