Through its network of trained behavior technicians, Board Certified Behavior Analysts, and researchers, CARD develops and implements comprehensive, individualized treatment programs that lead to success. 9390 Research Blvd., Suite 100 Austin, Texas 78759 Position Overview The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for all clinical aspects of treatment for the patients they oversee. This includes assessment and analysis of the patient’s skills and challenging behaviors, development of treatment plans, overseeing implementation of treatment, collaboration with and training of caregivers, and ongoing coaching and training of behavioral technicians. Treatment plans address areas of medical necessity and may be delivered in a variety of settings including the CARD center, patient’s home, school, community, or via telehealth. Clinical Supervisors report to the Group Clinical Manager. This is a salaried, exempt, full‑time position. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Uses clinical judgment to promote optimal outcomes for each patient Develops and maintains treatment plans Ensures that all supervision hours are 100% treatment adherence each month Evaluates patients to identify skill deficits and strengths Analyzes challenging behaviors to identify their function Develops functionally relevant treatment plans to reduce challenging behaviors Observes treatment implementation for potential program revisions Monitors treatment integrity to ensure satisfactory implementation of treatment protocols Directs behavior technicians in implementing new or revised treatment protocols Provides ongoing coaching and training to behavioral technicians Primarily works physically within the center to support technicians and follows best practices of direct observation Summarizes and analyzes data to evaluate patient progress toward treatment goals and adjusts treatment protocols based upon data Updates treatment plans at least once per month, based upon patient response to treatment Fulfills a minimum of 120 payor/client authorized billable hours per month, including supervisory and therapy hours Accurately communicates treatment response to stakeholders (i.e., caregivers, payers) Coordinates care with other professionals Administers, completes, and scores standardized assessments Includes caregiver as part of the treatment team, evidenced by consistent caregiver collaboration meetings Interacts with payers in a collaborative, professional, thorough, and informative manner Engages with payers as needed for funding meetings (i.e., IEP, peer reviews) Stays up to date on best practices for ABA treatment to ensure clinical excellence Maintains appropriate documentation in Skills and the patient’s medical record Communicates effectively and compassionately with patients, families, and colleagues Provides a safe and supportive environment for patients, families, and colleagues Maintains compliance with HIPAA requirements at all times Partners consistently and effectively with other center leadership including Operations Manager, Clinical Supervisors, Administrative Coordinator Technician, and Behavior Technician Leads Other duties as assigned Requirements Master’s degree in Psychology or Applied Behavior Analysis or related field required Certification as a behavior analyst from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board required Experience working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Empathetic and compassionate individual with the ability to maintain strict confidentiality Ability to work collaboratively with team members while maintaining a positive and solution‑focused attitude Ability to work independently to problem‑solve and exercise clinical judgment Effective communicator in both verbal and written formats Excellent time‑management skills and the ability to work in a fast‑paced, changing environment Excellent computer skills and knowledge of MS Excel, Word, Outlook; ability to use new computer systems and iPads Desire to continuously learn and develop skillsets Willingness to work in a variety of locations (center, patient home, etc.) Willingness to work with a variety of patients Reliable means of transportation with proof of auto insurance Must pass tuberculosis test Proficiency in English, both written and verbal Work Environment Treatment may occur in a variety of settings including the patient’s home, the CARD center, the patient’s school, the community, or via telehealth. Clinical Supervisors work in environments that are both indoors and outdoors and may move between different locations throughout the workday. Treatment environments may be subject to loud or excessive noise at times. Physical Requirements Works with patients seated on the floor, in small chairs, or other home, school, community, and clinic environments Moves frequently throughout the therapeutic setting to gather materials, anticipate and respond to patient movement, and provide instruction in various settings such as school, playground, clinic, or community Constantly positions oneself to participate and respond to patient movements and behaviors, including bending to assist a patient, kneeling or crouching to teach a play skill, hurrying to block an open doorway, or reaching to prevent a patient from entering a traffic‑congested street Utilizes continuous visual tracking to monitor patient movement and surrounding environment Occasionally moves to evade aggressive behaviors and/or physically block attempts to aggress toward others; may need to bear weight of a patient who is leaning, pushing, etc. Frequently teaches patients to use vocal speech; must be able to articulate sound and model speaking clearly and listen to shape patient vocal communication Occasionally uses modeling to teach gross motor skills such as climbing or jumping and fine motor skills such as clapping or opening a container Works in both indoor and outdoor settings across a variety of weather conditions (e.g., community skills, recess in a school setting) Can lift up to 30 lbs. while assisting patients EEOC Workplace Poster IER Right to Work Poster and E‑Verify #J-18808-Ljbffr
