This role requires a deep understanding of heat transfer principles of air and liquid cooling solutions, experience with system-level interactions in IT equipment, and the application of these skills to ensure the reliability and performance of our products.You will:Utilize complex requirements from customers and vendors create custom cooling solutionsCollaborate with adjacent thermal engineering teams to incorporate new commodities and custom thermal controls into larger Dell portfolioDevelop thermal validation tools, processes, automation, and infrastructure for a global team of system engineersCreate software and simulation tools to assess thermal feasibility of non-roadmap commoditiesTake the first step towards your dream careerEvery Dell Technologies team member brings something unique to the table. Here’s what we are looking for with this role:Essential Requirements:Ability to work closely with cross-functional teams, including mechanical, electrical, and software engineers, to develop integrated solutionsBachelor of Science in Mechanical, Electrical, or Computer Engineering, preferably with focus on thermal designUnderstanding of thermal engineering principles and practices within a professional disciplineFamiliarity with thermal management of CPUs, GPUs, NICs, and other hardwareScripting experience in Bash and/or PythonDesirable Requirements:Familiarity with air and liquid cooling thermal solutions in serversExperience working in thermal design with MCAD toolsCompensation:Dell is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices.
