Southern Air Mechanical is looking for an experienced Lead Installer in Alvarado who's ready to run installs from start to finish. If you take pride in clean, correct installs and know how to lead the right way, we want to talk to you.

What You'll Do:

• Lead residential HVAC installations from arrival to final walkthrough — furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, ductless mini-splits, and ductwork — installed to code, manufacturer specs, and industry standards
• Lead and train your installation assistant on every job
• Deliver a 5-star customer experience that exceeds the expectations set by the SRM or Comfort Advisor — communicating before, during, and after the install, and making sure the customer is fully prepared to operate their new system
• Protect and care for the customer's home throughout the installation process
• Perform thorough start-up and testing of installed systems; complete and sign the Safety, Quality, and Assurance Report
• Complete the Job Site Hazard Analysis Report (JHAR) before beginning work, and follow all safety procedures
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used; communicate issues and replenishment needs to the Project Management Team at job completion
• Collaborate with team members and project managers to complete installations on schedule

Requirements:

  What We're Looking For:

• 3+ years of HVAC installation experience (required)
• EPA certification (required)
• Exceptional communication and customer service skills — you set the tone for the crew and the customer
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Valid driver's license and insurable driving record (required)
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening
• Willingness to work hours outside the normal schedule when needed
• Must be 18 years of age or older to apply 

Working Conditions:

Regularly works indoors and outdoors in varying temperatures. Requires climbing, heavy lifting, standing, stooping, bending, crouching, kneeling, and reaching; ability to work in tight spaces such as attics and crawlspaces; ability to lift 50 lbs and push, pull, or maneuver heavier items; occasional work from heights of 15 feet or higher.
