In this full-time role, you will provide essential support to patients facing trauma-related challenges through our telehealth services. Work Environment\n

As part of our telehealth model, you will work remotely from Brookhaven, New York, contributing to a flexible and dynamic work environment. With a regular work schedule from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals committed to delivering high-quality mental health care. Key Responsibilities\n

  • Conduct comprehensive initial evaluations to assess patient needs, utilizing clinical interviews and standardized assessment tools.

  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on diagnosis and ongoing assessments, tailored to the unique issues faced by trauma injury patients.
  • \n
  • Provide effective coping strategies and therapeutic interventions aimed at helping patients manage their emotions and challenges.
  • \n
  • Monitor patient progress continuously, adjusting treatment approaches and crafting new plans as necessary to facilitate optimal recovery.
  • \n
  • Educate patients and their families about stress management techniques and trauma coping mechanisms, enhancing their understanding and involvement in the healing process.

  • Collaborate with healthcare providers, social services, and community organizations to coordinate comprehensive care for patients, ensuring access to necessary ancillary services.

  • Stay current with industry best practices and maintain professional credentials by completing required continuing education courses.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on trauma injury patients, who may experience a range of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, PTSD, and other emotional difficulties stemming from their experiences. By offering empathetic and evidence-based counseling strategies, you will empower these individuals to take charge of their mental health journey and promote their overall well-being.

Qualifications\n

  • A Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.
  • \n
  • A valid and active Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) credential.
  • \n
  • A minimum of three years of clinical experience working with individuals who have experienced trauma.
  • \n
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, enabling effective interaction with patients, families, and healthcare teams.

  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office and experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems. Familiarity with Salesforce is a plus.

  • Experience in a telehealth setting, demonstrating adaptability to virtual patient interactions.

  • Knowledge of trauma-informed care principles and techniques.

  • Training in effective therapeutic modalities specific to trauma treatment.

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 90,000 to 110,000 per year, commensurate with experience and credentials. In addition, our benefits package includes:
