Registered Nurse - OB/GYN

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provides comprehensive, patient-centered nursing care within an OB/GYN unit, supporting women through antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, nursery, and gynecology recovery phases. Demonstrates clinical expertise, nursing judgment, and effective teaching to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care independently under supervision.
• Perform clinical skills specific to obstetric and gynecological care, including neonatal resuscitation.
• Maintain compliance with all Standards of Nursing Practice and hospital policies.
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to promote optimal patient care.
• Manage supplies and equipment efficiently to support unit operations.
• Document patient information accurately, ensuring confidentiality and adherence to privacy standards.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active, valid license as a Registered Nurse.
• Possess a minimum of one year of acute care experience as an RN.
• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Demonstrate effective communication skills, both written and oral.
• Maintain current certifications in BLS, ACLS, Neonatal Resuscitation, and STABLE.
• Be vaccinated for COVID-19 per state mandate.
