Title
Registered Nurse - Neonatal Intensive Care

Schedule
Shift: 12-hour nights, 18:45-07:15

Assignment Details
Contract length: 13 weeks
Guaranteed hours: 36 hours per week

Requirements
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a Level III or IV NICU
- BLS and NRP certifications required
- Experience with neonatal ventilator management, including Servo vents and HFOV
- Proficient in noninvasive respiratory support (BCPAP, HFNC/Ram NC)
- Knowledge of advanced neonatal support therapies such as nitric oxide and therapeutic hypothermia
- Line and post-op care experience (UAC/UVC, Broviac, trach care, G-tube/ostomy management)
- Experience with neonatal medications, sepsis workups, and blood administration
- Familiarity with EPIC charting system

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide specialized care for premature and medically complex neonates
- Administer medications and manage IV therapies
- Monitor and assess patients' conditions, implementing care plans as needed
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
- Educate families about care plans and support needs of neonates
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities

Compliance / Notes
- Orientation: 24 hours unit orientation
- Weekend requirement: 3 Fridays, 3 Saturdays, and 3 Sundays per 6-week period
- RTO: Up to 7 days auto-approved (no holidays); all RTO must be pre-approved; no RTO during the first week; must work 2 of 3 major holidays
- Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
- COVID-19 vaccine not required
