POOL ATTENDANT JOB DESCRIPTION

Department: Operations
Reports to: Aquatics Manager
Employment Type: Full-Time
Pay Rate: $16.00/hour

POSITION SUMMARY

Clean and service the pool area to maintain a safe, clean, and enjoyable environment for resort guests. Ensure proper maintenance of pool facilities and equipment while providing excellent customer service.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

1. Pool Maintenance : Clean and maintain pool area including skimming, vacuuming, picking up trash, cups etc
2. General Facility Oversight : Monitor pool area for safety and cleanliness throughout operational hours
3. Towel Service : Provide towels, pick up towels, place towels in bags for laundry pick up
4. Guest Service : Provide assistance and hospitality to resort guests using pool facilities
5. Safety Compliance : Ensure all safety protocols and regulations are followed consistently

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent
• Experience: No prior experience required
• Skills: Strong attention to detail, ability to work outdoors, hospitality focus
• Certifications: Pool operator certification preferred but not required

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Schedule/Hours: Daily, Weekends
• Location: Outdoor pool area
• Travel Requirements: 0%
• Physical Requirements: Work outdoors in various weather conditions, ability to lift and move equipment, walking and standing for extended periods

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

• Pool maintenance and hospitality training will be provided
• Adherence to Villa Roma Resort's Six Points of Service Excellence and company values as outlined in the employee handbook. All employees must successfully complete new hire orientation and required training certifications.
