Job Description Clean Harbors Dolton, IL Diesel Vehicle Mechanic Clean Harbors Dolton, IL is looking for a Diesel Vehicle Mechanic to join their safety conscious team! State‑of‑the‑art facilities, technology, and tooling Responsibilities Ensure Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies and processes and acting safely at all times; Move company equipment safely on the yard as needed; Assist drivers in addressing outstanding vehicle issues; Perform preventative maintenance tasks and inspections on company vehicles and equipment; Carry out routine maintenance such as oil changes, battery checks and lubricating equipment, vehicles and machinery; Complete the daily checklist as required; Ensure equipment is properly parked and secured in compliance with facility permits and DOT requirements; Maintain facility via housekeeping duties; Perform other duties and tasks assigned from time to time by management to meet business needs. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; Ability to work in a team environment; 1+ years of experience working on heavy‑duty trucks and equipment; 1+ years of DOT inspection experience required; Must provide own basic tools; Related mechanical certifications (not required); Ability to pass a background, drug and physical test upon hire.
