Schedule

3x12-Hour shifts from 07:00 AM to 07:30 PM, EOW. One holiday shift and one evening shift during the holiday period are required.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) will specialize in pre-operative and post-operative orthopedic care, focusing on elective and trauma patients. The RN will join a team that utilizes a 1:6 (possible stretch to 7) nurse-patient ratio and will be integral in managing a variety of orthopedic procedures including total hip, knee, and shoulder replacements and repairs.

Responsibilities

• Utilization of Safe Patient Handling equipment and orthopedic tools such as CPM, knee immobilizers, and Bone Foam.
• Administration of blood products, management of dysrhythmias, and handling of various patient care protocols.
• Timely and accurate documentation using the EPIC charting system.
• Collaboration with interdisciplinary support teams including IV, physical therapy, and respiratory services.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• A minimum of 2 years of RN experience is required; charge experience preferred.
• BLS certification is required; ACLS certification is preferred.
• Experience with orthopedic and trauma patients is essential.
• EPIC experience is required.
• Must possess a valid RN license.
