Travel RN – Interventional Radiology

Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Days | Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM | On-Call Required | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing care within an Interventional Radiology department consisting of two IR suites (single-plane and bi-plane), a holding area, and a CT procedure room
• Assist with and support a wide range of interventional procedures including angiograms, cerebral coiling, carotid stenting, embolectomy, thrombectomy (PE), biopsies, kyphoplasty, ESI, paracentesis, thoracentesis, and renal microwave ablations
• Administer and monitor moderate sedation in accordance with department protocols
• Operate and work alongside imaging and monitoring equipment including Philips Bi-Plane, Philips Single Plane, and GE monitoring systems; document care using Expanse EMR
• Participate in on-call rotation, including 1–2 call nights per week and additional call coverage as needed based on departmental demands
• Function independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team of nurses and technologists

Required Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license — required at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a procedural department, critical care, emergency department, or ICU setting
• Demonstrated experience with moderate sedation
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications
• Ability to fulfill on-call obligations including evenings, weekends, and additional shifts as needed

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in Interventional Radiology or a Cardiac Catheterization Lab
• Strong ability to work independently and efficiently while also contributing effectively as part of a team
