Audit Intern – Summer 2027 Department: Audit Employment Type: Internship Location: San Jose, CA Compensation: $24.00 - $30.00 / hour Description Audit Interns are responsible for supporting the efficient execution of audit engagements, while learning from and collaborating with experienced team members. This role focuses on financial statement audits and assurance services, with responsibilities that include assisting in the evaluation, testing, and documentation of key business processes, internal controls, and financial data. Audit Interns will begin building professional relationships grounded in a foundational understanding of accounting principles and the accounting industry. This role is instrumental in delivering high-quality service while gaining exposure to clients’ accounting practices, risk areas, and compliance requirements. As a Sensiba intern, you'll join our award-winning internship program, gaining hands-on experience while developing technical and professional skills. Key Responsibilities Assist in the planning and execution of audit engagements under the guidance of senior team members. Conduct substantive testing and analytical procedures to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. Prepare financial statements, internal controls, and other relevant documentation. Collaborate with team members to identify areas for improvement and provide constructive recommendations. Prepare workpapers and documentation to support audit findings. Skills, Knowledge and Expertise Enrollment at an accredited university pursuing a bachelor's degree with a major or emphasis in Accounting. Expected completion of bachelors or masters degree in Accounting between December 2027 and June 2028. Minimum accounting GPA of 3.0 preferred. CA CPA eligible. Strong attention to detail and analytical abilities. High level of motivation to learn and produce high-quality work. Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and a sophisticated client base. Ability to work flexibly as part of a team to meet periodic and project-based client deadlines. Clear and professional verbal and written communication skills.
