Our client is a top-tier systematic trading firm known for its rigorous, engineering-driven culture and its work at the intersection of large-scale distributed systems, market data, and quantitative resear ch. About the RoleThis is an opportunity to build and own core data infrastructure supporting a fast-paced, research-intensive trading environment. You\'ll work closely with quantitative researchers, traders, and software engineers to design systems that ingest, process, and serve massive volumes of market and alternative data with extremely high standards for correctness, latency, and reliabil ity. Responsibi litiesDesign, build, and maintain large-scale data pipelines handling structured and unstructured market data, reference data, and alternativ e datasetsPartner directly with quantitative researchers and traders to understand data needs and translate them into robust, scalable infr astructureOwn data quality, validation, and monitoring frameworks to ensure accuracy and completeness across critical tradi ng systemsOptimize storage, retrieval, and processing systems for performanc e at scaleContribute to the evolution of internal data platforms, tooling, and engineering standardsTroubleshoot and resolve production data issues with urgency and prec ision. Qualifi cationsStrong programming skills in Python, Java, or C++Deep experience with SQL and large-scale data processin g frameExperience designing and operating high-throughput, low-latency data systemsStrong computer science fundamentals — algorithms, data structures, distributed systemsPrior experience in financial services, trading, or another data-intensive, high-reliability domain preferred but not r equiredExcellent communication skills and comfort working directly with technical and non-technical stake holdersIntellectual curiosity, high ownership, and a bias toward rigorous, well-tested engin eering.
