Qualifications

• M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited College of Medicine
• Completion of an accredited residency in Anesthesiology
• Board Certification or Fellowship in Anesthesiology required
• Current, unrestricted Physician license in New York State
• ECFMG and FLEX (if applicable)
• Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience as an anesthesiologist

Key Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative medical management and anesthesia care across general, orthopedic, and obstetric procedures
• Conduct pre-anesthesia assessments, obtain/verify informed consent, and discuss anesthetic options and risks with patients
• Perform induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia; monitor physiologic status and manage intraoperative events
• Deliver obstetric anesthesia, including labor analgesia and cesarean anesthesia as needed
• Perform regional anesthesia techniques and other clinical interventions as appropriate
• Supervise CRNAs (1:4 MD to CRNA ratio) and manage own cases to ensure high-quality, team-based perioperative care
• Assist in directing and coordinating activities within the Anesthesia Department to support smooth OR operations
