Dish Washer Ops

Warehouse and Dishwashing Position

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Uphold the high standards of 24 Carrots' handbook and policies
• Organize, clean and stock warehouse items
• Stay on task and work effectively
• Maintain safety and organization in the warehouse
• Wash all dishes for all corporate and social events
• Clean dish washing station at end of each shift
• Replace all cleaning supplies and soaps for the dish washing machine
• Change water in the dish washing machine three times during each shift
• Bag and polish flatware
• Restock items
• Take a mandatory 30 minute lunch break when working anything over 6 hours or notify supervisor
• Sort and sift through crates of glass and China items to search for shards and broken items

Qualifications

• Professional, enthusiastic, responsible, and dependable team player
• High level of personal hygiene
• Can work well under pressure
• Self-motivated, takes initiative and willing to acquire new skills
• Willingness to work in a collaborative environment with co-workers from diverse technical backgrounds
• Must possess a current California Food Handler's card

Education And/Or Experience

• No prior experience or training required
• ServSafe certification within 30 days of hire

Language Skills

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
• Ability to write simple correspondence
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
• Ability to speak and understand English

Mathematical Skills

• Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with IO's and IOO's

Reasoning Ability

• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions
• Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables

Physical Demands

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk; stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms
• The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear
• The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to/more than 100 pounds
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus

Work Environment

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to wet or humid conditions; to moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; outdoor weather conditions
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, but there will be cases where the noise level is loud
• This position occasionally requires flexibility to start shift earlier and end shift later on little to no notice
