Qualifications:

• Valid Washington State SPED License and Certification (required)
• Willingness to undergo or complete fingerprinting through OSPI
• Experience working with elementary students in special education preferred
• Ability to adapt instructional methods to diverse learners
• Strong collaboration and communication skills

Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction and support within the LRC1 classroom setting
• Develop and implement IEPs to meet students’ educational goals
• Create a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment
• Work collaboratively with general education staff, support personnel, and families
• Monitor and document student progress and adapt strategies as needed
• Maintain compliance with state and federal special education guidelines
