The therapist will conduct client consultations to understand health history, areas of concern, and treatment goals, then deliver appropriate massage services such as therapeutic massage, bodywork, and specialized techniques following professional standards and state regulations. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing treatment rooms, maintaining a clean and safe environment, documenting sessions, and supporting client education on stress management and self-care practices. The role also involves providing attentive customer service, managing appointment times, and collaborating with the team to ensure consistent, high-quality client experiences. The therapist is expected to uphold ethical standards, maintain confidentiality, and contribute to a welcoming, inclusive atmosphere.\nQualifications\n\n\n Ability to provide high-quality Therapeutic Massage and Body Massage tailored to client needs.\n Experience or training in Shiatsu or similar bodywork techniques beneficial for a variety of client conditions.\n Strong Customer Service skills, including clear communication, empathy, and professionalism.\n Knowledge of Stress Management techniques and willingness to educate clients on relaxation and self-care strategies.\n Active state licensure as a Massage Therapist in Rhode Island (or eligibility to obtain RI license promptly).\n Understanding of anatomy, physiology, and contraindications to ensure safe, effective treatments.\n Commitment to maintaining a clean, organized workspace and adherence to hygiene and safety protocols.\n Ability to work flexible part-time hours, including evenings or weekends as needed.\n Previous experience in a spa, clinic, or wellness setting is preferred but not required.\n Dedication to ongoing professional development and staying current with best practices in massage therapy.\n
