Pay: $115,000.00 - $145,000.00 per year

Location:  Ankeny or Carroll, Iowa — on-site, with a collaborative and supportive environment focused on teamwork, mentorship, and client relationships.

Note: Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering and 5+ years of directly relevant bridge or structural engineering experience.

Job Description

• Serve as lead engineer and/or project manager for bridge projects from planning through completion.
• Perform structural analysis, design calculations, bridge detailing, and specification development.
• Develop bridge quantities and construction cost estimates.
• Review and check engineering calculations and design work for accuracy and quality.
• Coordinate project tasks, assign work, and provide technical guidance to engineering staff.
• Apply strong technical judgment to solve complex bridge and structural engineering challenges.
• Collaborate with clients, contractors, and internal teams to deliver successful projects.
• Support client development, proposals, and project pursuits.
• Help ensure projects meet technical, schedule, budget, and client expectations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of bridge or structural engineering experience.
• Strong bridge design and structural analysis experience.
• Experience leading engineering projects or serving in a technical leadership capacity.
• Strong communication and project management skills.
• MicroStation experience preferred.
• Master's degree preferred.
