PLEX Accounting/Finance Consultant

The Accounting/Finance Consultant will be assigned to various projects, most likely multiple projects at the same time. The Accounting/Finance Consultant will be responsible for conducting the discovery for their functional area and configuring that area to match the needs of the customer. This position requires close contact with both the Solution Engineer working on each project as well as the Project Manager to ensure that we address all the functional requirements of the client. The SME The Accounting/Finance Consultant will work with the Project Manager directly for things such as timing and budgets, scheduling of training, onsite visits and travel arrangements. Also working directly with the Solution Architect for things such as specifics regarding a client’s configuration, business processes and other general requirements. Other responsibilities may include providing guidance to Application Consultants and refining project documentation and mastering additional product areas in your free time. The Accounting/Finance Consultant will be given directives from the Project Manager assigned to all projects they are assigned to. This is to include deliverables, timelines and budgets. The Accounting/Finance Consultant has a responsibility to the PM to complete tasks timely, report to the PM when / if a task is at risk of being completed timely – prior to it becoming an issue. Accounting/Finance Consultants will be responsible for conducting their own discovery process to ensure full understanding of the client’s needs. As well as preparing their own configuration recommendations, presenting such recommendations to the SE and/or PM for approval and facilitating the configuration or setup of the software based on the approved recommendations within the time frames provided by the PM. Accounting/Finance Consultant are expected to maintain their own professional credentials. Continuing their own education to elevate their knowledge of their respective subject matter. This means both product related knowledge as well as process related knowledge must be continually increased. Accounting/Finance Consultant will facilitate data migration with their clients, for their respective areas. The readiness for a configuration review/conference room pilot is the sole responsibility of the SME for their area. Minimal Requirements Associates Degree – Minimum Bachelor’s Degree - Preferred Minimum 5 years Manufacturing experience Minimum of 3 successful implementations Master level knowledge of at least 3 product areas Excellent oral and written communication skills Excellent problem-solving ability Excellent team work and motivational skills Responsibilities Conduct discovery with clients to understand requirements Configuration proposals following discovery Documentation of the design or proposed solution Configuration / Design of the Solution within the system Configure and test ancillary setup such as workflows and printed documents Provide constant feedback to the Project Managers and Solution Engineers of any Client concerns or requests Provide clients with training documents Conduct client training or supervise AC training of customer Attend go live events as part of the project team Frequent travel including overnights for extended periods Other responsibilities as assigned by management Success Criteria Positive client feedback Maintained utilization of billable time 80%+ Teamwork and positive working attitude Thoroughness of work and attention to detailContinuously improve skillset and product knowledge Demonstrate continued education and personal growth Providing support and feedback to other Application Consultants Primary criteria for success are customer and employee affinity.
