Class B Front Load Truck Driver

Overview IWS is now hiring CDL B front load truck drivers! Safety is our first priority! $31.27 per hour. Dispatch location: Plainfield, NJ. Schedule: Monday–Saturday, 3am–1:30pm. Job Highlights Drivers are responsible for safely operating front, side, or rear‑loading trucks for the pick‑up service of bags or containers filled with waste or recyclable material. Drivers transport the material to a disposal, transfer, or recycling facility, and may make one or more trips throughout the shift. We deploy both manual and automatic trucks. The driver position may require repeatedly lifting up to 50 pounds, moving and maneuvering up to 100 pounds, and mounting and dismounting the truck multiple times each route. Requirements and Qualifications 21 years of age and legally eligible to work in the United States. Valid Class A or B CDL with airbrake endorsement. 1‑year CDL driving experience in the last 7 years. Great safety record and clean MVR. Experience as a driver or helper for a refuse company is highly preferred. Working knowledge of DOT, OSHA, and applicable traffic regulations. Able to speak and read English. Read and understand a map. Meet physical and safety requirements of the position. Willing and able to work required hours under DOT regulation, including weekend, night, or holiday work. Additional Job Requirements Routes may require navigating through congested communities and confined or tight areas in city locations. Highly skilled backing maneuvers are essential. Drivers routinely climb in and out of the truck cab to serve customer accounts. Driver pre‑ and post‑inspections required; drivers must ensure their truck meets IWS’s safety standards, OSHA and DOT regulations, and local traffic laws before and during operation.
