Automation Engineer - Robotics Focus

Salary: $100,000 - 105,000 per year Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in electrical engineering, automation technology, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 5 years of practical experience in controls or automation engineering
  • Skilled in programming PLCs (such as Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Schneider, etc.) and developing SCADA/HMI systems
  • Strong understanding of industrial communication protocols (like Ethernet/IP, Modbus, etc.)
  • Experience with process control systems, instrumentation, and field integration
  • Excellent troubleshooting and analytical abilities, capable of working both independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to travel locally and regionally for on-site support and system startups
  • Valid drivers license required
Responsibilities:
  • Design, program, and troubleshoot PLC and SCADA-based control systems for both industrial and municipal applications
  • Develop and implement HMI/SCADA interfaces utilizing platforms such as Ignition, Wonderware, or VTScada
  • Collaborate with project managers, panel builders, and field technicians to ensure seamless system integration and project execution
  • Conduct on-site commissioning, testing, and startup of control systems
  • Analyze and enhance existing systems for improved performance, efficiency, and safety
  • Provide technical support and documentation to both clients and internal stakeholders
  • Engage in project planning, estimation, and specification development
  • Ensure all tasks comply with industry standards, organizational guidelines, and safety regulations
