Full Time Seaford, DE, US 2 days ago Requisition ID: 1104 Salary Range: $55,000.00 To $85,000.00 Annually GMB is accepting applicants for full-time Survey Party Chiefs who are experienced, energetic and goal oriented. Candidates submitting resumes should be able to lead field operations on a wide range of land development, construction, and infrastructure projects. This role is ideal for a hands‑on leader who enjoys working outdoors, mentoring crews, and delivering accurate, high‑quality survey work with minimal supervision. This position also offers a clear, supported career path toward Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) licensure. Signing bonus of $5,000 available to successful candidates Responsibilities – What you will do Lead and manage survey field crews for land development, construction, and infrastructure projects Perform accurate field measurements, data collection, and survey computations Review plans and specifications to plan efficient, compliant field operations Ensure quality control, safety standards, and project schedule adherence Train and mentor crew members while promoting teamwork and accountability Assist with cost estimates, scheduling, and overall project coordination Support preparation of survey drawings and project documentation Qualifications - What We’re Looking For Candidates with a passion for land surveying Strong working knowledge of surveying methods, GPS, and total station equipment Excellent math, analytical, and problem‑solving skills Ability to read and interpret legal descriptions, survey maps, engineering plans and construction drawings 3+ years of surveying experience or equivalent education and experience Proven leadership experience supervising and mentoring field crews A.A. or B.S. in surveying, engineering, or related field is preferred Registered PLS, LSIT, or actively pursuing licensure is encouraged Must have a valid driver’s license and ability to pass a driving record check Mentorship from licensed Professional Land Surveyors Diverse project experience toward licensure requirements Continuing education and exam preparation support Advancement opportunities into Project Surveyor, PLS, and leadership roles Why Join GMB?
