Medical Office Receptionist – Full Time

Newaygo County Mental Health is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Medical Office Receptionist to join our support staff team. This position is the first point of contact for clients, visitors, and staff, and plays a key role in creating a welcoming and professional environment.

Key Responsibilities:

·         Answer and direct incoming calls using a multi-line phone system.

·         Greet clients and visitors at the front desk in a professional and friendly manner.

·         Verify insurance coverage and collect/update client information.

·         Schedule medical clinic and outpatient appointments.

·         Process, prepare, and mail paperwork and forms.

·         Provide general office support, including data entry, filing, and other administrative tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

·         High School diploma or equivalent required.

·         Strong computer, typing, grammar, punctuation, and proofreading skills.

·         Proficiency with multi-line phone systems.

·         Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with clients and staff.

·         Previous medical office or healthcare experience preferred.

Additional Requirements:

·         Extensive background check is required.

Compensation & Benefits:

·         Salary range: $38,280 – $46,920 based on experience.
