The Los Angeles County Probation Department is hiring a Senior Cook to help lead daily food service operations in a fast‑paced institutional setting. Senior Cook – Los Angeles County Probation Department Location: Los Angeles County, CA Salary: $3,996.82–$5,385.74/month Schedule: Days, evenings, nights, weekends, holidays What You’ll Do Prepare and oversee quantity food production Train and supervise food service workers and/or inmate workers Ensure safety, sanitation, and compliance Inspect, store, and rotate food supplies Modify recipes and track supplies using software Support baking or butcher shop operations as needed Minimum Requirements Option I: ACFEFAC‑accredited Culinary Arts certificate + 2 years of quantity food preparation experience Option II: 2 years journey‑level quantity food preparation experience in institutional, commercial, military, or similar settings Valid CA Class C Driver License required Physical Class 3 (moderate physical duties) Desirable Skills Safe food handling & kitchen sanitation Experience using Outlook, Excel, and similar software High school diploma or equivalent #J-18808-Ljbffr
