Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Cath Lab Duration: 12 weeks Shift: Day 4x10-Hour Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a Cath Lab setting required. License: Valid nursing license required. Certifications: ACLS, ARRT CI, ARRT R, BLS, CCI RCIS Must-Have: - Previous charge experience - Experience with various charting systems - Ability to float to other facilities when required Description: This position requires a full-time commitment with on-call responsibilities. The nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality care in the Cath Lab. Familiarity with accessing and managing ports, central venous access, and catheter exchanges is essential. The role includes preparing patients for diagnostic and interventional procedures, such as angioplasty and cardiac stent placement. The nurse must be skilled in hemodynamic monitoring and interpretation of dysrhythmias. Experience with equipment setup and maintenance is necessary, along with a strong understanding of isolation precautions and PPE. Candidates should possess skills in various catheterization procedures and diagnostic imaging, including CT and MRI. The daily patient census is approximately 5, with a focus on cardiovascular and peripheral vascular diseases. Adherence to safety protocols and maintaining a sterile field during procedures is critical. Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams in patient care is expected.
