Senior Operations Manager

As a Senior Operations Manager for IDEXX's Greensboro, NC veterinary diagnostic reference laboratory, you will be a people leader at one of the largest veterinary diagnostic companies in the world. This full‑time role will coordinate day‑to‑day lab operations, including planning, people management, and delivering results. In This Role Manage teams, including direct Manager and Supervisor reports. Oversee all areas of a Veterinary Diagnostic Lab. Create and manage budgets. Deliver key operating metrics to drive quality, productivity, financial success, and safety. Act as a business and people leader, driving teamwork, innovation, and excellence. What You’ll Need to Succeed 5+ years of experience overseeing or managing a large, fast‑paced, high‑volume work environment across multiple shifts. Preferred: bachelor’s degree in a science or related business field. Proven track record of managing a large team with focus on employee performance, empowerment, and development. Experience as a change agent, preferably with Lean experience in lean manufacturing/operations. Experience with multi‑tiered leadership and ability to adapt plans to operational challenges. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, and ability to present to senior management. Proficiency in Excel, Word, Tableau, and other PC applications; comfortable with high computer use. Ability to manage exposure to biohazards and hazardous chemicals. What You Can Expect From Us Salary up to $160K/year depending on experience. Health, Dental, and Vision benefits starting day one.
