Desktop Support Technician

Duration: 4+ months (High Chances of extension) Payrate: $31.80 per hour Must Haves Desktop support/ Imaging Network knowledge Printer support Education: High school diploma or equivalent Experience: 3 to 5years --- Summary Research, design, develop, and test computer or computer-related equipment for commercial, industrial, military or scientific use. Responsible for supervising the manufacturing and installation of computer or computer-related equipment and components. The technical skills include knowledge of computer software and hardware. Education/Experience: Bachelor degree in computer science or related field or equivalent training/education required o 8-10 years customer service related experience required Responsibility level Exercises independent judgment with minimal direction from supervisorSkillso Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills (Required) Strong ability to work independently and manage one?s time (Required)o Strong mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback (Required)o Strong knowledge of circuit boards, processors, electronic equipment and computer hardware and software (Required)o Strong knowledge of computer software, such as configuration management software, desktop communications software, operating system software and internet directory services software (Required)Major Job Duties and Responsibilities:o Instruct and assign staff to provide technical support to designers, marketing and sales departments, suppliers, engineers and other team members throughout the product development and implementation processo Assign the testing and verification of hardware and support peripherals to staff to ensure that they meet specifications and requirementso Oversee the build, testing, and modification of product prototypes using working models or theoretical models constructed with computer simulation o Assign staff to analyze user needs and recommend appropriate hardware o Direct technicians, engineering designers or other technical support personnel as needed o Confer with engineering staff and consult specifications to evaluate interface between hardware and software and operational and performance requirements of overall system #J-18808-Ljbffr
