Job Location: Waterloo, IA 50704 (100% Onsite)

Shift: 1st Shift (Mon-Fri)

Duration: 24-month contract (with possible extension)

Pay: $30/hr.
- $34.00/hr. on W2 (Negotiable based on experience)

Job Description:

Major Purpose:

Support materials engineering and laboratory testing tasks, including complex analysis, with limited engineering supervision

Major Duties:

• Prepare and analyze material samples, parts, and processes.
• Perform laboratory testing and support Materials Engineering work requests.
• Troubleshoot lab equipment and process issues with production and maintenance teams.
• Maintain lab equipment, supplies, consumables, and coolant levels.
• Support process improvements, quality checks, audits, and changeovers.
• Create and maintain laboratory procedures, work instructions, and records.

Job Requirements:

• 2-year associate technical degree or equivalent work experience.
• Experience in process control and analytical analysis.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with a shop floor or laboratory environment.
• Understanding of part prints, process instructions, and industry standards.
• Basic knowledge of ferrous machining and materials analysis.
• Knowledge of production and laboratory equipment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
