General Information

Tell us about the unit(s):

· Number of Beds – 11

· Number of Staff – 3-5 RN’s

· Type of staff:

o Day Shift – 3-5 RN’s, 1 Unit Secretary

o Night Shift – 3-5 RN’s

· Patient Ratios – 2:1, surge to 1:3

· Type of equipment – GE Beside Monitoring

· EMR – Meditech

Typical hiring profile

Skill Set Most recruited for: 

Must have : candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.

· Ability to care for critically ill patients

· Ability to monitor rhythm strips, recognize changes, and escalate to physicians timely

· ICU nursing experience

List typical procedures performed on unit(s):   

· Care for high acuity patients, including ventilators

· Assist with intubation and bronchoscopy at bedside

· SLED

· TEE and Cardioversions

Best personality Fit:

· High energy, believes in teamwork, great critical thinking skills, positive attitude with ability to adapt to changes quickly.

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS:

· ACLS, BLS

Floating Area(s):

· PCU, Telemetry, ER (only to take hold patients, not ER patients).

Dress Code :

· Scrub Color/Attire – Black Pants/Black or Caribbean Blue Tops

Unit Guidelines/Policies : Please feel free to attach unit policies and guidelines.

· Provided with how to access upon unit orientation

Weekends and On call (if any):

· Every other weekend

· No call
