About the Position

TravelNurseSource is working with Malone Healthcare to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in Wilmington, North Carolina, 28401!

• Provide direct patient care on a dedicated Neuro unit, managing patients with neurosurgical procedures and neurological diagnoses
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:5-6 and adhere to unit standards for safe, quality care
• Utilize unit systems including Pyxis, EPIC, and SBAR communication framework
• Float within or near the facility as required per assignment needs
• Meet weekend shift expectations of 12-16 weekend shifts per contract
• Be available to serve on a Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team; contract staff may be required to report during catastrophic events, mass casualty incidents, or disasters

• Active RN license - NC state license or Compact license (pending licensure accepted for submittal)
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start
• Must complete all pre-employment lab testing within 48 hours of signing
• Local candidates (within 50 miles of the facility) are welcome; a local rate will apply

• ACLS, CPI, and/or NIHSS certification preferred
• Prior neuro nursing experience preferred
• Familiarity with EPIC electronic health records

• First-time travelers are welcome, making this an excellent opportunity to launch a travel nursing career in a specialized neuro setting
• Flexible contract length options available, offering the ability to extend your assignment up to 26 weeks
