Job Description
\nNorthern Light Mercy Hospital is seeking a part-time Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Associate) to join its established, successful general surgery practice in Portland, Maine . This position will serve as the first assist for robotic general surgery cases in our Outpatient Surgical and Specialty Center (OSSC), located on the Mercy Hospital Fore River Campus.
\nCandidates should have first assist experience, with robotic surgery experience preferred.

- 10-hour day shifts \n
- No nights, weekends, or on-call responsibilities \n
Practice in a Thriving, Well-Supported Environment:

- 100% OR-based role serving as first assist; no rounding, ED consults, or clinic responsibilities. \n
- Majority of cases utilize the da Vinci robotic system, enhancing surgical accuracy and outcomes. \n
- Work alongside accomplished surgeons and an experienced NP in a department committed to maintaining high standards of surgical care. \n
