Position Overview and Qualifications

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for coordinating and providing high-quality, patient-focused care tailored to the specific needs of the department, adhering to the standards of practice relevant to their state and specialty. Working alongside medical professionals and other members of the healthcare team, the RN delivers personalized, comprehensive, and compassionate care by employing established nursing frameworks such as “Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage.” The RN acts as an advocate for patients, families, and caregivers, embodying the organization’s vision, mission, and values to enhance the patient experience and improve clinical outcomes, thereby contributing to the overall success of the department.

• Regularly evaluates patient pain levels to ensure effective pain management, including follow-up assessments after interventions.
• Executes procedures, monitoring, or other tasks as directed by medical providers, ensuring timely and thorough documentation of care in the patient’s medical record.
• Delivers exceptional care by promptly addressing patient requests and proactively anticipating their needs.
• Educates patients, families, and caregivers about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, potential side effects, and follow-up care, simplifying complex medical terminology for better understanding.
• Instructs patients, families, and caregivers on non-pharmacological follow-up strategies, including healthy lifestyle choices, disease prevention, and self-management techniques.

Required Qualifications:

• • Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 90 days of starting employment.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of starting employment.
  • Nonviolent Crisis Intervention training must be completed within 90 days of starting employment.
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification must be obtained within 90 days of starting employment.
  • Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Associate Degree in Nursing.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Emergency Room required.
