Respiratory Therapy Program Director This full‑time position is responsible for instructing respiratory therapy courses, arranging clinical placements, overseeing part‑time faculty teaching in remote locations, and leading the AAS Cardiorespiratory Care Science program. The incumbent will conduct live instruction, deliver content through interactive video, Zoom, and the online education platform, and provide flexible and travel‑requiring service to students across Nevada. Responsibilities Instruct respiratory therapy courses and arrange clinical placements for students. Oversee part‑time faculty teaching in remote locations. Design, develop, and implement the AAS Cardiorespiratory Care Science program, ensuring accreditation with COARC. Manage program budget, equipment acquisition, maintenance, and financial assessment. Maintain office hours for student advisement and participate in faculty meetings, committees, and recruitment activities. Travel throughout the GBC service area as needed. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited School of Respiratory Therapy; Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s preferred. Five years of health‑care experience; current RRT license preferred. Current Nevada State Board of Medical Examiners Respiratory Care Practitioner License. Ability to obtain and maintain a Nevada respiratory care practitioner license; POCA or Blood Gas Technologist license within 120 days. Must acquire BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certificates before end of introductory period and thereafter. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word) and computer‑based learning systems. Compensation & Benefits Grade: Administrative Faculty – D, B Contract (9 months, paid over 12 months). Compensation paid over 12 months . Retirement: NSHE retirement plan with 19.25% contribution matched by the institution; 100% vested first day. Health insurance: medical, dental, vision.
