As a key player in a hybrid role, the Managing Director, California Licensed, will oversee financial management, operational leadership, and client service initiatives for a leading law firm's Emerging Growth & Venture Capital platform, contributing to strategic growth while collaborating with senior leadership. Key responsibilities Oversee pitch and proposal activity, budgeting, and compliance with client guidelines while tracking key financial KPIs Act as the primary business liaison between practice leadership and internal teams, optimizing workflows and resource allocation Partner with pricing and legal project management teams to develop fee arrangements and address client administrative needs Required qualifications 10+ years of legal or law firm experience in practice management or professional services business operations Bachelor's Degree in Legal Studies, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or JD preferred Proven ability to communicate complex financial and operational information to senior leadership Experience in driving growth and operational excellence in a fast-paced environment Strong problem-solving, negotiation, and decision-making skills with a focus on client service
