Occupational Therapist (OT) - Hand Therapy Focus / CHT Preferred

Location: Visalia, CA (On-Site / In-Person)

Status: Full-Time or Part-Time (1 Open Position)

Pay Range: $45.00 - $60.00 per hour (Based on experience, qualifications, and credentials)

Setting: Outpatient Orthopedic / Hand Therapy Clinic

Experience: Experienced upper extremity clinicians preferred; highly motivated new grads working towards their CHT will be considered

Start Date: Immediate (The clinic is looking to hire right away but is positioned to be highly selective for the right fit)

The Role: Specialized Upper Extremity Rehabilitation

• Clinical Specialization: Evaluate, map out, and treat complex post-operative, traumatic, and cumulative trauma conditions involving the entire upper quadrant (shoulder, elbow, wrist, and hand).

• Custom Fabrication: Utilize your advanced technical skills to design, fabricate, and custom-fit specialized splints and orthotics as clinically appropriate.

• Predictable Pacing: Work under a structured outpatient workflow. Initial evaluations are allotted a full 60-minute appointment block, while standard follow-up treatments run in 30-minute intervals.

• Managed Volume: Protect your pacing with highly manageable volume parameters-the daily schedule incorporates exactly one double-booking in the morning and one in the afternoon.

• Continuum of Care: Partner alongside a team of expert clinical peers and local prescribing physicians to navigate post-surgical healing timelines and precise protocol progressions.

The Work-Life Balance Schedule

• Work Week: Standard Monday through Friday operation, with exact daily shift hours determined by clinical match and clinic needs.

• Clear Boundaries: Protect your personal time with absolutely no weekend shifts and zero on-call responsibilities.

Requirements

• Education: Master's or Doctorate Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.

• Licensure: Active, unrestricted California Occupational Therapy License (or immediate, verifiable eligibility to obtain).

• Safety: Current CPR/BLS Certification.

• Clinical Target: Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) designation is strongly preferred. OTs who have completed intensive upper extremity clinical rotations, understand specialized healing protocols, and are actively compiling hours toward their CHT exam are highly encouraged to apply.

• Onboarding Logistics: Must be looking to practice long-term in the Visalia region. Relocation assistance may be considered for exceptional, high-tier out-of-state candidates.
