Job Description

Pediatric Neuroradiologist

Location: Phoenix, Arizona | Type: Full-Time | Department: Radiology

We are seeking a full-time Pediatric Neuroradiologist to become part of one of the largest and most intricate standalone pediatric healthcare systems in the nation. This position offers the possibility of focusing entirely on pediatric neuroradiology, a flexible hybrid work schedule, and a genuine work-life balance.

Why This Position is Unique
  • Exclusive subspecialty practice: Engage in a comprehensive range of pediatric neuroimaging within a large, complex quaternary referral network.
  • Flexible hybrid work model: Full diagnostic home PACS workstations enable both onsite and remote scheduling flexibility for all radiologists.
  • Expanding, well-supported department: Comprising 29 radiologists across Neuro, Body, Interventional Radiology, and Emergency sections, with support from a full-time PhD Imaging Scientist and academic connections to a renowned neurological institute.
  • Opportunity for growth: Our organization is in the midst of significant expansion, developing new hospital and outpatient facilities throughout the region, and the Radiology Department is increasing its faculty across various subspecialties to align with this growth.
About Our Team

The Radiology Department consists of 29 specialists: 8 in Neuro, 14 in Body, 4 in Interventional Radiology, and 3 in Emergency. The Emergency Radiology section handles overnight image interpretation and consultations. All radiologists are equipped with full home PACS workstations, and a hybrid onsite/remote schedule is standard. Pediatric anesthesiologists are available to provide anesthesia services as required.

Subspecialty Practice

The Pediatric Neuroradiology division is dedicated to a focused, 100% subspecialty practice that covers the entire spectrum of pediatric neuroimaging. We encourage applications from candidates with fellowship training in Neuroradiology or Pediatric Radiology, particularly those with subspecialty expertise in Pediatric Neuroradiology, including current fellows. Faculty members in Neuroradiology also hold academic positions in the Department of Neuroradiology at a prestigious neurological institute.

Qualifications
  • M.D. or D.O. (or equivalent), board-certified or eligible in Diagnostic Radiology.
  • Completion of ACGME Fellowship training in Neuroradiology, or Pediatric Radiology with subspecialty expertise in Pediatric Neuroradiology.
  • ABR Certificate of Added Qualification (CAQ) in Pediatric Radiology or Neuroradiology, or eligibility for it.
  • Eligibility for medical licensure in Arizona.
Research and Education

Our Radiology faculty hold academic positions with the University of Arizona College of Medicine (Phoenix), Mayo Clinic Alix School of Medicine (Scottsdale), and Creighton University School of Medicine (Phoenix). The department actively engages in teaching and research initiatives, including:

  • Three ACGME-accredited Pediatric Radiology fellowship positions.
  • Advanced fellowship training in Pediatric Neuroradiology and Pediatric Interventional Radiology.
  • Involvement of residents, fellows, and medical students from affiliated academic institutions.
  • A full-time PhD Imaging Scientist supporting a vibrant clinical and translational research program.
Phoenix Valley: A Growing Market

The Phoenix Metro Area is among the largest and fastest-growing regions in the United States, and our organization is expanding to keep pace. A new pediatric hospital, featuring 60 NICU beds, 6 operating rooms, and a 24-room Emergency Department, is set to open in February 2027. To support this growth, the Radiology Department is looking to recruit several additional pediatric radiologists across various sections, presenting a unique opportunity to help shape a burgeoning subspecialty practice in a location celebrated for its sunshine and outstanding quality of life.
