Overview
Registered Nurse, Emergency Room (ER) — Simi Valley, California, United States. Travel assignment starting 09/21/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay range: 2,132 - 2,257 per week. Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts (3x12). This travel assignment is in an acute care hospital setting and requires travel credentialing as part of a temporary assignment.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to ER patients including triage, rapid assessment, continuous monitoring, and stabilization as needed.
- Administer medications and IV therapy; perform ultrasound-guided IV access; assist with central lines and related procedures.
- Support high-acuity ED procedures: procedural sedations, TEE, bronchoscopy, bubble studies, paracentesis, lumbar punctures, and blood patches.
- Document care in Cerner and LaunchPoint; coordinate with the ED team, unit secretary, phlebotomy, and other on-unit resources to ensure timely care and safe handoffs.
- Utilize Pyxis for accurate medication dispensing; monitor pharmacy operations to support 24/7 needs in the ED and hospital-wide.
- Maintain patient safety, infection control, pain management, and patient/family education regarding treatment plans and discharge instructions.
- Assist with patient throughput, bed availability, and weekend coverage (every 3rd weekend), collaborating with hospital leadership as needed.

Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in California (or ability to obtain for travel)
- Emergency Department nursing experience or demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced ED environment
- Current BLS certification; ACLS and PALS generally preferred for ED roles
- Proficiency with EMR systems; experience with Cerner and LaunchPoint is preferred
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts; strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills
- ADN or BSN degree in nursing
