Automotive Technician BPosition Schedule / Shift: Service center hours are Monday–Friday, 7:30 a.m.–6:00 p.m., and Saturday, 8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. Schedule and shift assignments will depend on the position.Position SummaryAs an Automotive Technician B, you'll perform a variety of vehicle repairs and maintenance services, including brakes, suspension, diagnostics, and routine inspections. This hands-on role requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to troubleshoot and repair vehicles efficiently. Working as part of a team, you'll help ensure customers receive safe, reliable vehicles and high-quality service. This position offers opportunities to develop technical skills, work with evolving automotive technology, and grow your career in a fast-paced environment.Key ResponsibilitiesPerforms automotive repairs, adjustments and maintenance procedures as outlined on repair order for which technician is trained.Oil changes, tire replacement and repairs, general maintenance repairs, fluid exchanges, alignments, brake services, advanced repair and maintenance services, etc. are expected to be learned and performed.Work with, and train lower level technicians.Drives vehicles into service bay, prepares them for and completes digital vehicle inspection.Test drives vehicles and prepares vehicle for delivery to customer after necessary repairs and maintenance.Maintains cleanliness of shop and work areas, performs other duties as necessary.QualificationsRequiredHigh School diploma, GED, and/ or technical school graduate / certificationMust possess a valid driver's license3 years minimum experience repairing vehicles at a dealership or automotive center.Knowledge of automotive and/or truck systems, tools, and technical resources and training to independently perform a variety of basic to complex repairs and maintenance of automobile and truck vehicles.Understand and consistently demonstrate the proper use of equipment and tools used in such repair and maintenance, as well as the need to maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.Ability to consistently provide exceptional customer service and improve customer service scoreAbility to prioritize and deliver work on time.Ability and basic leadership skills to mentor and train lower-level Technicians to help them be successful.PreferredASE certifications (or their equivalent): A4-Suspension & Steering, A5-Brakes, plus 2 other ASE certificationsState inspection certificate, where applicableAC 609 CertificationMust have own tools appropriate for their skill level for use in the Center.Work EnvironmentMay experience loud noises and odors intermittently in the shop environment.This position involves standing, walking, and normal physical mobility, including reaching, grabbing, lifting, and carrying automotive parts and equipment (averaging up to approximately 80 pounds in weight)Must be able to work in the heat, as some locations do not have air conditioning.Must be able to maintain working on your feet in a concrete facility for the entire work shift.Compensation & Benefits OverviewACG complies with all applicable state and local laws regarding required benefits (including PTO, paid sick leave, etc.).CompensationTechnician B's will earn a competitive salary of $40,000 - $85,000+ annually with a potential weekly production bonus.BenefitsAt ACG, we offer a comprehensive and flexible benefits package designed to support your health, financial well-being, and professional growth.Health & WellnessMedical plans with multiple coverage options, including HSA eligibility.Prescription drug coverage .Dental and vision benefits.Employee Assistance Program (confidential support services).Financial Protection & InsuranceCompany-paid basic life insurance .Optional supplemental life insurance and dependent coverage .Short-term and long-term disability coverage.Critical illness, accident, and pet insurance options.Retirement & Savings401(k) plan to support long-term financial goals.3% automatic deferral upon eligibility; may contribute 1% to 50% of eligible earnings, either pre or post tax .Company match of 50% paid on employee contributions up to 6% of pay, payable to employees following the end of the year; immediate vesting .A dditional company contribution of 4% of pay each pay day into your account; 100% vested after three (3) years of service .Health Savings Account (HSA) and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) options.Time Off & LeavePaid Time Off (PTO): Accrual-based, increases with tenure, eligible at 90 days of employment.Full-time new employees will receive up to 12 PTO days annually; accrual based on start date and may include additional PTO based on role and/or state & local requirements.Part-time employee PTO hours are calculated based upon the standard weekly hours the employee is scheduled to work and will accrue at a minimum of 3 hours per month.Paid Holidays:Full-time employees are eligible for 10 company-paid holidays annually, in addition to 1 mental health day, 2 floating holidays and 1 volunteer day.
